About RAKxa Integrative Wellness
RAKxa Integrative Wellness is a medical wellness retreat in Bang Krachao, the protected green island in the Chao Phraya river often referred to as Bangkok's Green Lung. Surrounded by 63 acres of tropical greenery and canals, the retreat sits within one of the most unexpected natural settings in Southeast Asia — quiet and nature-led, yet 30 minutes from central Bangkok.
The approach combines advanced diagnostics and personalised medical planning with traditional healing systems — Traditional Thai Medicine, Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine — delivered through three specialist centres: VitalLife for longevity and medical science, RAKxa JAI for ancient healing traditions, and RAKxa GAYA for medical movement and physical rehabilitation. Every stay begins with in-depth consultations and diagnostic assessments that shape the treatments, nutrition and daily routine that follow. RAKxa operates in partnership with Bumrungrad International Hospital, one of Asia's most respected medical institutions, bringing clinical rigour to a wellness environment.

The RAKxa Method
The RAKxa Method is the framework behind every programme at the retreat, built on five pillars — Exercise, Nutrition, Rest, Stress Management and Restorative Treatment — working together as a single integrated system rather than a menu of separate services.
Every stay begins with integrative diagnostics: comprehensive assessments covering blood-age testing, hormone panels, body composition analysis and functional fitness evaluation. What comes back shapes the programme — treatments, movement prescription, nutrition plan and daily routine are all calibrated to the individual rather than selected from a fixed template.
The method draws on both cutting-edge medical science and time-tested healing traditions, delivered across three specialist centres. VitalLife, in partnership with Bumrungrad International Hospital, handles longevity medicine, advanced diagnostics and medical aesthetic treatments. RAKxa JAI brings together Traditional Thai Medicine, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and energy healing. RAKxa GAYA is the medical gym, focused on functional fitness, physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation. The interdisciplinary teams across all three work together on each guest's programme throughout the stay.
Hotel Facilities
RAKxa is set on Bang Krachao, a protected green island in the Chao Phraya river, within 63 acres of tropical gardens, lagoons and canal pathways. The grounds are designed around a Botanical Wellness Journey concept — sunlit gardens, saltwater pools and reflexology pathways for barefoot grounding connect the villas, treatment centres and dining spaces. A communal pool sits within the grounds alongside quiet terrace and garden areas for rest between sessions.
Bicycles are provided for all guests to navigate the island and explore the surrounding area. The RAKxa CHA Teahouse provides a quiet space between sessions. The overall atmosphere is deliberately calm and removed from the city — close enough to Bangkok to be practical, far enough to feel genuinely separate from it.
Wellness Facilities
RAKxa operates across three specialist centres, each with its own focus but working together on every guest's programme.
VitalLife is the scientific wellness centre, developed in partnership with Bumrungrad International Hospital. It handles advanced diagnostics — blood-age testing, hormone panels, body composition analysis and food intolerance testing — alongside longevity medicine and medical treatments including IV nutrient infusions, cryotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, colon hydrotherapy, photobiomodulation and aesthetic treatments. Anti-ageing doctors review results and prescribe targeted interventions.
RAKxa JAI is the holistic healing centre, bringing together Traditional Thai Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, energy healing and hydrotherapy. Treatments include acupuncture, cupping, herbal therapies, Shirodhara, Reiki, crystal healing and Tibetan singing bowl sessions. The hydrotherapy circuit covers a herbal steam room, infrared sauna, vitality pool and cold plunge pool.
RAKxa GAYA is the medical gym, focused on functional fitness, physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation. Every guest begins with a functional fitness assessment covering six areas — single leg strength, brain reaction, torso rotation, upper body control, flexibility and cardiovascular capacity — from which a movement prescription is built. Daily group classes in yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Thai boxing and aqua aerobics run alongside individual physiotherapy sessions.
Dining
Nutrition at RAKxa is developed by a team of chefs, nutritionists and traditional medicine specialists working together around each guest's programme. The approach is anti-inflammatory, built on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients including produce from RAKxa's own organic farm.
UNAM Restaurant serves Thai-inspired cuisine at lunch and a refined Western menu at dinner, with raw, sugar-free and flourless desserts. For guests on detox or weight management programmes, four dedicated detox menus are available — Soft, Solid, Liquid and Pure Liquid — each calibrated to support the body's cleansing process at different intensities.
RAKxa CHA Teahouse offers over 100 herbal tea blends, with tea sommeliers on hand to guide guests through each blend's properties and health benefits. Personalised brews aligned to individual wellness goals are available throughout the day.
Good to Know
Accommodation
RAKxa is an all-villa retreat with 62 private villas and residences, each designed by doctors to optimise rest and recovery. Interiors use natural hypoallergenic materials throughout, with organic amenities sourced from local Thai artisans. Garden Villas open onto private lush gardens; Pool Villas overlook RAKxa's private lagoon.
Location
RAKxa sits on Bang Krachao, a protected green island formed by a loop of the Chao Phraya river, 30 minutes from central Bangkok and often described as the city's Green Lung. The island is one of the last significant areas of natural greenery in greater Bangkok — dense jungle, canal pathways and cycling routes through fruit orchards and community gardens — and the contrast with the city just across the water is immediate.
Suvarnabhumi Airport is approximately 45-60 minutes away by road and river taxi, making RAKxa a practical base for combining a wellness programme with time in Bangkok before or after.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is RAKxa Integrative Wellness and what makes it special?
RAKxa Integrative Wellness is a medical wellness retreat in Bangkok, set within 63 acres of tropical gardens on Bang Krachao — the protected green island in the Chao Phraya river known as Bangkok's Green Lung, 30 minutes from central Bangkok. Three specialist centres work together on every guest's programme: VitalLife for longevity medicine and advanced diagnostics in partnership with Bumrungrad International Hospital, RAKxa JAI for Traditional Thai Medicine, TCM, Ayurveda and energy healing, and RAKxa GAYA for medical movement and physical rehabilitation. Every stay begins with in-depth diagnostic assessments that shape everything that follows.
What wellness programmes does RAKxa What wellness programmes are available?
Twelve programmes run from 3 to 14 nights — personalised wellness, rebalance, detox, de-stress, sleep enhancement, energy renewal, gut and immunity support, hormonal rebalance, women's health, mobility and physical recovery, integrative longevity and weight management. Every programme draws on the RAKxa Method's five pillars — exercise, nutrition, rest, stress management and restorative treatment — calibrated to individual diagnostic results rather than selected from a fixed template.
What does RAKxa offer for holistic health and wellness in Bangkok?
RAKxa brings together Traditional Thai Medicine, Ayurveda and TCM at RAKxa JAI, advanced longevity medicine and diagnostics at VitalLife, and functional fitness and physiotherapy at RAKxa GAYA — all three centres coordinated around each guest's individual programme from the first consultation. It is one of the few places in Bangkok where holistic health and wellness and medical science operate as a single integrated system rather than separately.
How long should I stay at RAKxa?
Shorter stays of 5 to 7 nights suit wellness maintenance, stress recovery or a first experience of the approach. Longer stays of 10 to 14 nights allow more in-depth work on gut health, hormonal balance, physical rehabilitation or longevity — the recommended duration comes out of the initial consultation.
What is the food like at RAKxa?
UNAM Restaurant serves Thai-inspired cuisine at lunch and a refined Western menu at dinner — anti-inflammatory, built on seasonal locally sourced ingredients including produce from RAKxa's own organic farm. Guests on detox or weight management programmes follow one of four dedicated detox menus — Soft, Solid, Liquid or Pure Liquid — calibrated to the cleansing process at different intensities. RAKxa CHA Teahouse offers over 100 herbal tea blends, with personalised brews aligned to individual wellness goals available throughout the day.
Is RAKxa suitable for solo travellers?
Many guests arrive alone. Private villa accommodation, an individual daily programme and one-to-one care from the interdisciplinary team create a focused and personal atmosphere, with optional group classes in yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi and Thai boxing available alongside.
When is the best time to visit RAKxa?
RAKxa is open year-round and the programmes run consistently in every season. Bangkok's cooler and drier months from November to February are the most comfortable for outdoor activities and exploring Bang Krachao island by bicycle. The hotter months from March to May and the wetter season from June to October are equally rewarding for the indoor wellness programme — the tropical gardens and canal setting have a different but equally distinctive character in the rain.
