The Hotel
The hotel boasts a minimalist, sleek, and modern design, located in a quiet residential area in Adeje. It's just a 15-minute walk downhill to the vibrant restaurants, cafes, shops, boutiques, and the stunning Playa del Duque, often regarded as the best beach in the south. However, the hilltop location means that the walk back up is a steep 25-minute climb. For those who prefer not to walk, the hotel offers complimentary taxi vouchers to the beach, or a taxi ride costs just 5 euros.
The Suites
I stayed in the Divinity Lago, a bright and spacious suite that offered everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable, and the suite included a generous living area, a bathroom with both a walk-in shower and a bath, and a kitchen fully equipped with modern conveniences. My large balcony featured a jacuzzi, which was cleaned daily, along with a table and chairs where I enjoyed breakfast most mornings, and a day bed perfect for sunbathing. The suite overlooked the main pool, while other suites had private pools, which seemed especially popular with families.
The hotel has 125 suites, each with a spacious balcony or terrace and a fully equipped kitchen, making it ideal for guests who prefer cooking their own meals. The supermarket is just a 10-minute walk away, and the suite also comes with a Nespresso machine and a washing machine. I would recommend bringing your own coffee pods and washing tablets for your stay. Some suites offer upgrades like side sea views, a jacuzzi, or a private pool—ideal if you're looking for a little extra luxury. The glass balconies provide a fantastic view, though they don’t offer total privacy, perfect for those who want a peaceful space to relax.
Having the kitchen and such a spacious suite made it feel like a true home away from home. The tranquil surroundings made it the perfect spot to unwind, although it might not be ideal for those who prefer to be in the middle of the action.
The Food
There were several great breakfast options available at Baobab Suites. One of the most convenient choices was the breakfast box, which you could customise the night before and have delivered directly to your suite at your preferred time. The box included a selection of breads, cheeses, meats, milk, yoghurt, juice, fruit, and coffee pods for the in-suite Nespresso machine. I often had leftovers to pop into the fridge and snack on later in the day.
If you preferred dining out, you could head to Fuel restaurant in the sports centre or BB Lounge Club, both of which offer healthy à la carte options with stunning views of the pools and the sea. For those seeking a more refined dining experience, Sucas restaurant offers a Michelin-starred tasting menu that truly delights the senses.
The Wellness Facilities
The Activate Sports Club at Baobab Suites is a haven for fitness enthusiasts, offering a wide range of group classes throughout the week (excluding Sundays). Options include core, cycling, TRX, and even pole dancing. For a more personalised experience, guests can take part in Reformer Pilates, as well as yoga programmes, and private swimming or fitness lessons. There's also a rock-climbing wall and padel tennis courts, perfect for honing your skills with a private instructor. The private beach area provides a laid-back atmosphere where you can relax and sip on a smoothie from the Fuel Restobar.
For those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, the Nirama Wellness Centre provides a variety of Ayurvedic and Western treatments, designed to nourish both body and mind.
