Surf, Yoga and Spa Eco-Resort

About Paradis Plage

Paradis Plage is Morocco's first eco-resort, set on a private Atlantic beach between the Atlas Mountains and the sea, 26 kilometres north of Agadir. Green Key certified and with a genuine commitment to sustainable travel, it has built a reputation over fifteen years as one of the most distinctive beach wellness resorts on the African Atlantic coast — warm, unpretentious and well suited to guests who want an active holiday by the sea.

Surf, yoga and spa sit at the heart of the stay. Over 18 surf spots lie within easy reach, including the legendary Anchor Point. Three yoga classes run daily in a beachfront shala with glass doors opening onto the Atlantic. The Paradise Eco Spa draws on Moroccan craft traditions — argan oil, ghassoul, black soap — in a 300sqm space built from zellige, tadelakt and local stone. Four restaurants, a Kids Club and direct beach access make it a natural fit for solo travellers, couples and families alike.

01

Those looking for a yoga holiday in Morocco

02

The Surf House gives access to over 18 surf spots — from beginner beach breaks to the legendary Anchor Point — with lessons, guiding and Rip Curl equipment available.

03

Those interested in Moroccan wellness and sustainable travel

The Paradise Eco Spa draws on Moroccan craft traditions in a 300sqm space of zellige, tadelakt and argan oil. Morocco's first Green Key-certified eco-resort, partnered with the Surfrider Foundation.

04

Families wanting a beachfront resort with activities for all ages

A Kids Club for ages 4-11, direct beach access and a full range of activities — surf, yoga, spa and fitness — suit family stays where adults and children want different things from the same holiday.

Hotel Facilities

Paradis Plage sits directly on a kilometre-long private Atlantic beach, with an ocean-view swimming pool, a children's pool, a Zen garden with hot tub and sun terraces overlooking the water. The beachfront yoga shala opens onto the ocean through glass sliding doors — three classes run daily.

The Surf House is the natural gathering point for the day — surf lessons and guiding, stand-up paddleboarding, bodyboarding, canoe and kayak, equipment hire and a Rip Curl Shop on site. Campfire evenings and open-air cinema nights run from the beach when conditions allow. Beach volleyball, petanque, table tennis and beach soccer are available throughout the grounds. The Kids Club keeps younger guests engaged with daily creative and eco-activities, and an outdoor playground sits within the gardens. A free shuttle runs to and from Agadir city, and the resort can arrange excursions to Paradise Valley, the Agadir Souk and the Tamri dunes for sandboarding.

Wellness Facilities

The Paradise Eco Spa is a 300sqm space built from traditional Moroccan craft materials — zellige, tadelakt, marble and hand-carved wood — with natural ingredients at the centre of every treatment. Argan oil, ghassoul clay, black soap, orange blossom, rose water and saffron run through the Moroccan ritual and treatment menu, alongside international wellness therapies from cosmetic partners Afrikissime Karité and Thémaé.

Signature experiences include the traditional hammam ritual, body scrubs and a full massage menu drawing on both Moroccan and international traditions. An indoor fitness room and an outdoor training space facing the Atlantic offer group classes in HIIT, cardio, CrossFit, yoga fitness and boxing alongside personal coaching sessions.

Dining

The Ocean serves a generous breakfast buffet with a live omelette and crepe station alongside vegan and gluten-free options, with dinner also available during high season.

The Shed sits on the waterfront by the Surf House, serving poke bowls, fresh salads and grilled fish through the day, with campfire evenings as the sun goes down.

The Lounge sits poolside for cocktails and Mediterranean lunches with ocean views.

The 27 is the evening restaurant, where the chef reinterprets Moroccan and international cuisine with creativity and elegance.

Four bars complete the offer — the Beach Bar directly on the sand, the Spot Bar next to the Surf House for post-surf drinks until late, the Lobby Bar for quieter evenings indoors and the Bar Océan, a warm interior bar open all day.

Good to Know

Accommodation

Paradis Plage has 103 suites, bungalows and villas spread across the resort grounds, most looking out over the Atlantic or the pool. Interiors draw on Moroccan craftsmanship — materials sourced locally, architecture low in the landscape — designed for total immersion in the spirit of coastal Morocco, with the largest categories having their own private terraces and direct beach access.

Location

Paradis Plage sits at Km 26 on the Essaouira coastal road, 26 kilometres north of Agadir and a few minutes from the surf village of Taghazout. The setting is quietly dramatic — Atlas Mountains behind, a kilometre-long private beach in front and 340 days of sun a year. Agadir-Al Massira Airport is approximately 43 kilometres away, around 55 minutes by road, with transfers available through the resort.

The surrounding area rewards exploration — Taghazout and Anchor Point for surf culture, the Agadir Souk and medina for local produce and crafts, Paradise Valley for a half-day in the palm-lined gorges, and the coastal road north toward Essaouira for one of Morocco's most scenic drives.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Paradis Plage and what makes it special?

Paradis Plage is a surf and yoga eco-resort in Morocco, set on a private Atlantic beach 26 kilometres north of Agadir and a few minutes from the surf village of Taghazout — Morocco's first Green Key-certified eco-resort, with fifteen years of experience combining surf, yoga, spa and coastal living. What yoga is available at Paradis Plage?

Three classes run daily in the beachfront yoga shala — Sunrise yoga at 7am, a mid-morning workshop session and Yin yoga at sunset, with breathwork on Wednesdays and Saturdays. What is the Paradise Eco Spa and what treatments are available?

Is Paradis Plage suitable for beginners at surfing or yoga?

Both surf lessons and yoga classes are adapted for complete beginners. The certified surf instructors work with first-timers on the beach breaks close to the resort, and yoga teachers guide students through modifications throughout every class. Several of the programmes — particularly the Surf and Yoga and Yoga Holiday packages — are popular first experiences for guests new to both.
